The Camino Vasco del Interior sets out from Irún and heads towards Santo Domingo de la Calzada or Burgos, tracing the Roman road 'Ab Asturica Burdigalam', possibly the overland route most travelled by pilgrims between the 9th and 12th centuries.

Rich in history and scenery, it is crowned by the natural tunnel of San Adrián. An inland Basque alternative, full of Roman heritage and far quieter than the coast.
